Mon. 23May16 - Day 6 - Junction City, KS to Wentzville, MO
Eastbound with a constant crosswind out of the south...
Today is another day of few photos, such is life lol.
Our day started with breakfast, compliments of our hosts, The Fraternal Order of Eagles by CVMA and HOG. Today, we're traveling about 350 miles on I-70E, doing our best to avoid weather that is traveling mostly the same direction.
We rode from Junction City, KS to the Topeka Service Center, where our fuel stop and tolls were donated by ABATE of KS District 4/State Board, and American Legion Post 421.
After leaving the service center, and crossing into Missouri, we picked up our Missouri State Police escort. We arrived in Concordia, MO for lunch and fuel donated by the VFW National HQs.
After lunch, we rode onward to Columbia, MO, for another fuel stop before the final leg to Wentzville, MO.
Here's what the weather in the area looked like as we continued rolling east.
Arrival at Wentzville, MO
Wentzville is another city that greatly anticipates supporting our mission. The tail gunners in our platoon talked about the folks in Wentzville, and the food they provide, for at least two days before we arrived.

Upon arrival, we paraded through town to dinner at VFW Post 5327. There, the delicious, homemade dinner pictured at left was provided by the VFW post and others. I was very appreciative of the meal, fellowship, and relatively short ride afterwards to my hotel. The food coma that this deliciousness caused... Oooh, boy.
